This is the color diagram for the 4ZE1 Trooper motor, 1988 - 1991 model years (FED version)
Blue - vacuum circuit for the air injection system
Green - vacuum circuit for the EGR system
Red - goes to splitter to power the two vacuum switching valves
Magenta - vacuum circuit for the purge system (sucks fumes out of charcoal canister)
Yellow/Orange - vacuum circuit for the fuel pressure regulator
Green shaded lines connect the vacuum operated EGR valve and BPT.
(BPT = Back Pressure Transducer)
Red shaded lines show the vacuum lines to the FPR vacuum switching valve (VSV).
NOTE: What looks like a T-splitter is actually shaped like the letter F
One leg of the F -splitter feeds vacuum to the VSV for the fuel pressure regulator (Red to the VSV then pale Yellow).
Red shaded lines show the vacuum lines to the FPR vacuum switching valve (VSV). And the Yellow shaded lines show the vacuum lines to the actual fuel presure regulator ( FPR).
Blue lines show the vacuum circuit for the Air Injection Pump.
Diagram #1. Shows the standard or regular Trooper, 2.6L, 1988 - 1991 (non CA version).
Diagram #2. The hose layout for the CA Trooper, 2.6L, 1988 - 1991.
The CA model has an extra vacuum switching valve (VSV) that is operated by the computer and also an extra MAP sensor input on the FPR circuit.
IAC valve item 162 located on the bottom of the air plenum... provides for fast idle when cold. Image and part nos from myisuzuparts.com.
